Computer sessions at Headway Shropshire
Our Day Opportunities at Headway House offer a range of activities for people with an Acquired Brain Injury (Head or Brain Injury).
We offer cognitive, social and physical activities including:
- Shopping, cooking and meal-planning,
- Computing (including Learndirect courses)
- Art, craft activities and woodworking,
- Swimming trips and 'Extend exercise' sessions,
- Individual and team games,
- Literacy and numeracy sessions
We work with each person’s needs and aspirations. We understand that people can suffer with fatigue after ABI and provide rest areas, but aim to keep people active as appropriate.

Woodwork classes at Headway Shropshire
We are open every weekday from 9.30am until 4.00pm, and Clients usually attend for one or two days per week. To attend, Clients should be over 18 and have evidence of an Acquired Brain Injury (a non-degenerative injury occurring since birth)
This includes:
- Traumatic Head Injury
- Stroke
- Tumour/ Surgery
- Disease
