Headway Shropshire helps you rebuild life after brain injury. And, while we’re affiliated with our friends at Headway UK, we are a completely separate and independent charity. That means we rely entirely on our own funding through grants, donations and fundraising.

Fundraising is vital, allowing us to continue providing the support and reablement that brain injury survivors need. You can fundraise for us as a business or as an individual and joining in our fundraising events is a brilliant way to do it. See all our latest events, including fundraisers, on our What’s On page.

How fundraising events help brain injury survivors

Fundraising goes beyond just collecting funds.

They are also ways to raise awareness, persuade people, and build a community and environment where brain injury survivors aren’t left to alone:

  • Fundraising events can help sustain our programmes, activities and operations to ensure we improve life after a brain injury.
  • Fundraising events are our way of raising awareness to the struggles and needs of survivors so interventions for their recovery are always available
  • Fundraising events give us the space to build a community that is passionate about helping brain injury survivors, which overall, creates a safe and supportive environment for brain injury survivors.

Hats for Headway

Every year on the 24th May, people from Shropshire and beyond suddenly look extra stylish (or, in many cases, silly). The idea is simple – wear a hat and donate £2 to Headway Shropshire.

The Summer Fair

Stalls, crafts, sweets and games… our annual Summer Fair held at our Headway Hub is always a hit, and a great chance for our community to come together in (fingers crossed every year) the sunshine.

The Winter Fair

Our cosiest, most festive fundraiser of the year is always a joy to join. Games, raffles, merriment and much fundraising means our local charity can continue to support people across Shropshire and beyond.
